About this role; responsibilities & ownership
The Endowus Business Development and Partnerships team is a pivotal business unit that maintains and leverages key corporate relationships to extend and amplify Endowus' reach.
We are seeking a Business Development and Partnerships Lead to lead and execute our B2B2C and B2B corporate client strategy, deepen our existing partnerships, build and maintain new relationships to shape and grow Endowus Hong Kong's growth in line with our mission and values.
Strategic Planning & Implementation:
- Develop strategy and BD programs across the various target verticals through employers, financial institutions, professional services firms, associations, and community partners etc.
- Lead on existing initiatives such as partnership events, employee investment & wellness programs and develop new B2B2C and B2B business opportunities, partnerships and use cases that extend Endowus' reach
- Lead complex, high-value strategic projects cross-functionally. Perform robust cost-benefit analyses, manage quality/timeline trade-offs, and guide management decisions in the midst of ambiguity.
Client Engagement, Partnerships & Execution:
- Proactively originate, manage and nurture key client relationships with partners from senior executives to working group level to drive partnerships opportunities
- Engage with partners to expand our client base and deepen existing relationships by offering Endowus' services, and proactively track and follow up on leads with a systematic CRM framework
- Plan and execute high-impact partnerships and events, from idea generation, develop marketing programs for promotion and continuous follow-up, delivering webinars/events etc, focused on delivering high ROI for the firm
- Represent Endowus at conferences, events, and seminars to establish thought leadership and communicate our mission and values
- Maintains expert-level knowledge of the full product suite and treasury solutions to independently design sophisticated financial literacy programmes and thought leadership content.
- Ideate and execute on other strategic projects and initiatives
Internal Collaboration & Team Development:
- Collaborate with internal functional teams including marketing, product, client advisory, Investment Office etc.to drive business development-related initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with firm-wide objectives and strategies
- Foster a collaborative environment, promoting shared learning and success
- Formally coach, mentor, and lead or coach a team of Business Development Associates and Analysts, actively developing their commercial thinking, project delivery, and execution capabilities.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Bachelor degree with 8-10 years' relevant experience
- Proactive, self-motivated and can work independently, with attitude and energy to do what it takes to get things done
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build and foster a strong network of personalities
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be able to execute and drive things through to completion
- Organized, attention to detail and adaptable with high level of integrity and risk awareness
- Team player and ability to work with different business functions across the firm
- Understand and be passionate about Endowus mission to make a change in the industry and build an innovative financial services company
- Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is a must
- Previous experience in financial institutions, CFA/CAIA designations and previously licensed as SFC Type 1 licensed representative is a plus but not required
